  • Captain Andrew Isaacs of the Winter Park Fire/Rescue Department prepares the interior of an ambulance prior to cleansing it with the built-in decontamination unit – coming in the wake of an international Ebola virus scare. The units are made up of pressurized pumps, which release a decontamination mist inside the patient area of the ambulance. It takes about 15 minutes for the mist to cover all the surface area inside – a process that can be done even while the ambulance is moving. This is one of three units on hand at the Winter Park, Florida station on Friday, Oct. 10, 2014 in Winter Park, Florida. (AP Photo/Alex Menendez)

  • AeroClave founder Dr. Ronald Brown decontaminates a rescue vehicle at his office in Winter Park, Florida on Friday, Oct. 10, 2014. Viruses with similar characteristics to Ebola have been tested with positive results that show the pathogens can be erased. The Winter Park Fire/Rescue organization now has three ambulances equipped with self contained, built-in decontamination units – coming in the wake of an international Ebola virus scare. The units feature pressurized pumps, which release a decontamination mist inside the patient area of the ambulance. It takes about 15 minutes for the mist to cover all the surface area inside and break the chain of infection. • The San Francisco Patient and Resource Center (SPARC) is a marijuana dispensary that helps provide lab tested, affordable, high quality cannabis and subsidized health services to its registered members. Medical marijuana legalization is on the ballot in the state of Florida and up for voting on November 2, 2014. It is being pushed for by the group United for Health with its main backer being Attorney John Morgan. The issue is very controversial with both sides arguing their cases, and television commercials and radio spots airing daily across the state. Patient safety, security and the fact that it is a cash only business model also cause opposition to the Amendment 2 bill. Here, a patient shows his identification and pays for his medicine at the SPARC facility on Saturday, August 24, 2014 in San Francisco, California. (AP Photo/Alex Menendez)
